Part of our mission is that of sustaining researchers in their exploration of specific topics connected to historical guitars in the field of Artistic Research and Practice-based research.
We sustain and collaborate with Researchers from independent background and PhD/DMus (Doctors in Music) programs, with the goal of deepen the essence of the guitar repertoire through the practice on historical instruments.
TouchTheSound Research is a project that wants to share research in the field of performance practice, ancient instruments, and historical repertoire.
This channel wants to be a place for in-depth studies, held by researchers and students of conservatories around the world, where you can find videos in which you can learn more about recent trends in classical guitar research.
We will publish papers, but also video and interview, realised by our team, where you can discover more about their approach.
It is primarily our interest to enhance research dedicated to the repertoire and the performance practice, and when necessary we will support making available appropriate historical guitars to the researchers.
We desire to reduce the distance between researchers, performer and instrument collectors and we propose ourselves as mediators to make accessible the study of the historical repertoire on original instruments
